My Story
Hi, I'm Necia!

I'm a mom of 2, wife, pediatric Physical Therapist and your very own special education advocate! With nearly a decade in Early Intervention, an OHSU LEND trainee, plus experience working as a special education paraeducator and substitute teacher, my entire career has been dedicated to supporting kids with disabilities. This population has my heart!
I was late-diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, and as it often goes, my children have it too! I know firsthand how hard it can be to advocate for our kids when their learning needs are going unmet. Despite my background, speaking up for my kids felt overwhelming - until one fantastic educator helped me find my voice and showed me a path forward. This is was SO helpful to me. Now I am passionate about offering the same for parents like you.

In the years I've spent working in public schools, I've seen so many children whose IEPs and 504s are not creating for them meaningful support. Parents want better for their kids, but simply don't know how to get an effective plan in place. Sound familiar?

I've made it my mission to help:
1) Teach parents what they need to know about the IEP and 504 process
2) Empower parents to be confident advocates for their kids
3) Facilitate positive, collaborative relationships between members of the IEP team
4) Problem-solve ways to bring about the change needed for kids to thrive at school

I'm eager to get going - THIS is the work I love to do!
